It didn't start in a boardroom. It started behind a counter.
Karobaar began as software for one real shop — ours. Bills on paper, udhaar in a notebook, stock counted from memory, and no tool built for a shopkeeper who bills in Hindi and loses signal by noon. Every "app" assumed a fast connection, an English keyboard, and an accountant on call.
So we built the thing we actually needed — and every shopkeeper we showed it to said the same word: "finally." That's when TuskerWorks became a company: to build for the 60 million+ small businesses big software forgets.
We don't design for a shopkeeper we imagined. We build for the one we grew up watching.
